Grantees
Over the next few years, 58 grantees will use IEEEP 2.0 funds to expand access to high quality, inclusive early childhood education across California. Their efforts are tailored to meet the unique needs of local communities, supporting children of varying ages and abilities. Grantees are directing funds toward professional development, particularly job embedded coaching, and may also use funds for adaptive equipment and facilities renovations.
Grantees are dispersed throughout the state of California. This regional representation allows a wide range of communities to have access to funding that will support early childhood education and inclusion.
How Grantees Are Using Their Funds
Grantees were able to specify how IEEEP funds would be utilized across their IEEEP sites. The breakdown of funding allocation is as follows:
All 58 Grantees
As required by CDE, all 58 grantees specified how their funds would support professional development efforts. Job-embedded coaching is a primary focus in addition to trainings CDE identified and recommended.
14 Grantees
These grantees will utilize funds for professional development and adaptive equipment, which can include items such as adaptive furniture and sensory materials.
28 Grantees
This group indicated they would address professional development, adaptive equipment, and facilities renovations, including indoor or outdoor updates to improve accessibility and inclusion.
3 Grantees
These grantees identified professional development and facility renovations as their primary priorities.
Statewide Reach
The statewide distribution of grantees allows IEEEP 2.0 funding to support a broad mix of communities, programs, and student needs. That regional spread also helps the evaluation capture how inclusive early childhood strategies are being implemented in varied local contexts across California.
